• Roaming around the car can be dangerous for both your kitty, yourself and other drivers. It is safest to keep them safe in a carrier with a seat belt attached.
  • The car smells funny, it’s noisy, it’s just different. Cats hate different, especially if they always end up at the veterinarian! Taking your kitty for a quick drive to the corner store, Tim Hortens or even around the block every now and then will help them be more comfortable during car rides.
  • Many cats get car sick, to help avoid this make appointments before meal. Traveling on an empty stomach decreases the chances of vomit in the cage.
  • Rewards work! After every car ride reward your cat with treats, attention and lots of love.
  • Remember to always consider the weather and temperature in the car before leaving your pet unattended (even if it’s only for a minute).
